3-day festival honoring Milton Brown, the ‘Father of Western Swing,’ coming to Stephenville. (And it’s free!)
The city of Stephenville is hosting a three-day celebration honoring the legendary “Father of Western Swing.”
The inaugural Milton Brown Western Swing Festival will be held Sept. 6-8 at Birdsong Amphitheater at Stephenville City Park.
The free event will include live music from top western swing acts and food trucks.
All you have to do is bring a chair.

Milton Brown was born in Stephenville on Sept. 8, 1903.
He died at the age of 32 in a single-car accident on Fort Worth’s Jacksboro Highway.
