Arctic blast: Winter weather finally makes it to Erath County this week. Here’s what to expect.

Updated: 3 hours ago

Remember when the Erath County Courthouse looked like this? Pete's not saying we will get snow this week, but there is a chance of flurries.

Stock up on firewood and break out the crockpot.

Erath County is expecting its first blast of real winter weather this week and I couldn’t be happier.

Dowell in Stephenville has everything you need to weatherize your home.

Forecasters say temps won’t make it out of the 40s this week and wind chills will have temps dipping into the teens.

And now there's a potential for four to six inches of snow on Thursday!

Brrrrr.

Easter Heat & Air will keep your home warm and toasty.

My favorite weatherman WFAA’s Pete Delkus says this is what we can expect:

MONDAY: High 39, low 24

TUESDAY: High 40, low 23

WEDNESDAY: High 39, low 26

THURSDAY: High 37, low 27

FRIDAY: High 38, low 30

SATURDAY: High 42, low 28

Pipes freeze, pipes bust. If you have a plumbing problem, call the great folks at Iron Horse.

I’ll be making potato soup this week from a starter kit I purchased from Venture19 and let you know how it turns out.

Meanwhile, bundle up.

Winter is finally here.
