Beneath the Book Club: It’s time to choose our March read!

I read all three of Beneath the Book Club’s choices for February, and I have a hunch I will do the same this month.
Book 1 intrigues me because I love a good mystery, but book 2 is the true story of a sixteenth-century heroine and I definitely can’t pass that up.
And book 3 is by one of my favorite authors Taylor Jenkins Reid. (Remember Malibu Rising?)
I can’t wait to find out which book you choose to read in March.
Vote for your favorite in the comment section on Beneath the Surface News Facebook page and I will announce the winner early Saturday morning, March 1.

1. Something in the Water by Catherine Steadman
Goodreads choice award nominee, named one of best books of the year by Glamour and Newsweek, No. 1 New York Times bestseller, Reese’s Book Club Pick
WHAT AMAZON SAYS: “Erin is a documentary filmmaker on the brink of a professional breakthrough, Mark a handsome investment banker with big plans.
“Passionately in love, they embark on a dream honeymoon to the tropical island of Bora Bora, where they enjoy the sun, the sand and each other.
“Then, while scuba diving in the crystal blue sea, they find something in the water.
“Could the life of your dreams be the stuff of nightmares?
“Suddenly the newlyweds must make a dangerous choice: to speak out or to protect their secret.
“After all, if no one else knows, who would be hurt? Their decision will trigger a devastating chain of events…”

2. Isola by Allegra Goodman
4.3 on Goodreads, Editor’s pick in best literature and fiction, Reese’s Book Club pick
WHAT AMAZON SAYS: “Heir to a fortune, Marguerite is destined for a life of prosperity and gentility.
“Then she is orphaned, and her guardian—an enigmatic and volatile man—spends her inheritance and insists she accompany him on an expedition to New France.
“That journey takes an unexpected turn when Marguerite, accused of betrayal, is brutally punished and abandoned on a small island.
"Once a child of privilege who dressed in gowns and laced pearls in her hair, Marguerite finds herself at the mercy of nature.
“As the weather turns, blanketing the island in ice, she discovers a faith she’d never before needed.
“Inspired by the real life of a sixteenth-century heroine, Isola is the timeless story of a woman fighting for survival.”

3. After I Do by Taylor Jenkins Reid
WHAT AMAZON SAYS: “When Lauren and Ryan’s marriage reaches the breaking point, they come up with an unconventional plan.
“They decide to take a year off in the hopes of finding a way to fall in love again. One year apart, and only one rule: they cannot contact each other.
“Aside from that, anything goes. Lauren embarks on a journey of self-discovery, quickly finding that her friends and family have their own ideas about the meaning of marriage.
"These influences, as well as her own healing process and the challenges of living apart from Ryan, begin to change Lauren’s ideas about monogamy and marriage.
“She starts to question: When you can have romance without loyalty and commitment without marriage, when love and lust are no longer tied together, what do you value?
“What are you willing to fight for?
"This is a love story about what happens when the love fades. It’s about staying in love, seizing love, forsaking love and committing to love with everything you’ve got.
And above all, After I Do is the story of a couple caught up in an old game - and searching for a new road to happily ever after.”
