Beneath the Book Club’s February read: ‘The Crash’ by Freida McFadden takes readers on a thrilling ride from start to finish.

If you love a good thriller, and it appears that most of us Beneath the Book Clubbers do, “The Crash” by Freida McFadden was a real treat.
I finished this 338-page book in less than 48 hours; I could not flip the pages fast enough.
The story centers around Poor Tegan – single, pregnant after a one-night stand by a total creep and with little money in her back account - she sets off in her rickety car to spend some time with her brother.
But halfway through the trip, she realizes that she’s made a terrible mistake because she’s heading straight into a blizzard.
The roads get slick, she spins out of control, crashes, and suddenly, she is stranded in rural Maine with a wrecked car and broken ankle.
Then, a small miracle; she’s rescued by a couple who offers her a room in their warm cabin until the snow clears.
But it doesn’t take long for things to turn creepy.
The wife doesn’t want to let Tegan go and a fight for her and her unborn child’s survival ensues.
There were a couple of things about this storyline that I didn’t like, but otherwise, I found it wildly entertaining.
