Seven students from Makhuwa Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competed last weekend at the International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation Dallas Open and brought home three gold medals, two silver and three bronze.

The two-day competition is one of the major Jiu Jitsu tournaments held in Texas.

“This is the first time that any Jiu Jitsu team has brought three gold medals back to Stephenville,” coach Blessed Matai said.
