Candidates in Republican Primary draw for ballot spots. And what about all those filings?
Twelve candidates running in four contested races next year will make for an interesting and high-stakes Erath County Republican Primary Election.
I spoke with local party chairman Dave Washam on Friday, just hours after candidates drew for spots on the ballot and he gave me the lowdown on how it all shook out.
Next year’s Texas primary will be held on Tuesday, March 1, and early voting begins Feb. 14.
The following is a look at the final candidates in those four locally-contested races.
The candidates are listed in the order in which they will appear on the ballot

Other elected officials that are running unopposed include District Court Judge Jason Cashon, County Court at Law Judge Blake Thompson, District clerk Wanda Greer, County clerk Gwinda Jones, commissioner precinct 2 Albert Ray and commissioner precinct 4 Jim Buck.
