Check out this recipe for high protein jalapeno popper cheeseburger bites

I love jalapeno poppers and this recipe with hamburger adds a unique twist and makes it a meal.

 

This high protein, easy to make recipe is a healthy dish your family will love.

WHAT YOU NEED

 

1 lb. ground beef (I use 90/10)

 

4 jalapenos 

 

4 egg whites

 

1 pinch salt and pepper

 

½ cup bread crumbs

 

½ cheddar, low fat

 

6 tbsp cream cheese, reduced fat

 


HOW TO MAKE IT

 

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

 

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except cream cheese.

 

Fill each jalapeno half way, then ½ tbsp of cream cheese, then more beef mixture.



Bake for 20-25 minutes.

 

Let cool before removing from the pan.  

 

Top with sliced jalapenos.
