Erath County grand jury indicts teen accused of shooting two men in domestic disturbance.
An Erath County grand jury on Thursday indicted 16 people, including a teenager charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Eighteen-year-old Diego Daniel Delacruz was indicted on three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
According to the arrest affidavit, the incident began June 14 when Deputy Jake Gillispie with the Erath County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call on Sorrel Court where a man wearing nothing but a pair of black underwear was allegedly breaking windows and throwing rocks at cars.
The deputy said he then heard multiple gunshots and saw a man covered in blood and holding a baby running toward his patrol car then observed a second male victim who appeared to have been shot lying on the ground, according to the report.
Delacruz fled on foot, but was apprehended a short time later by Stephenville police.
Both victims survived the shooting, and the child was struck by pellets.
Delacruz is being held at the Erath County Jail on a $225,000 bond.

Justin Lee Hubble for attempt to take a weapon from an officer, a state jail felony, and assault of a peace officer, a second degree felony.
Cody Lee Johnston for assault causing bodily injury to a family member (with previous conviction), a third degree felony.
Jerry Dewayne Knight for manufacture or delivery of a substance, a second degree felony.
Latrece Lewis for theft (with two prior convictions), a state jail felony.
Andy Lopez for possession of a substance, a state jail felony.
Emilio Junior Mejia for manufacture or delivery of a substance, a first degree felony.
Caleb James Polich for theft, a state jail felony.
Garrett Alan Prince for driving while intoxicated with child passenger, a state jail felony.
Darren Hanson Roberts for tampering or fabricating physical evidence, a third degree felony.
Kimberly Elizabeth Roberts for possession of a substance, a state jail felony.
Stephanie Theresa Rodriguez for driving while intoxicated with child passenger, a state jail felony.
Daniel William Samia for evading arrest or detention with a vehicle, a third degree felony, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a state jail felony, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, a third degree felony.
