Erath County Humane Society hosting garage sale to raise money for new shelter.

The Erath County Humane Society is continuing its effort to raise money for a new shelter.
The organization is hosting a garage sale from 2-5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8; 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, and 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10.
“If anyone would like to make a donation, they can call us and set up a drop-off time,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News.
The much-needed new facility will be located on 17 acres on County Road 454 in Erath County and include separate areas for dogs and cats and space to quarantine sick animals, nursing mothers and strays.
A covered walkway will lead from the lobby and offices to the back of the facility where there will be about 70 indoor/outdoor kennels.
