Erath County United Way gears up for its annual fish fry. Here’s the scoop.
If you have never enjoyed a hot plate of fish prepared by the men of the Knights of Columbus, you are missing out.
And if you’re a regular of the Erath County United Way’s annual fish fry, you know what I’m talking about.
The fish is perfectly battered and cooked to perfection along with all those delicious sides.
If that’s enough to make your mouth water, mark your calendar for Wednesday, Aug. 19, when the organization will host its annual fundraiser.
You can purchase a plate of fish for $10 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at Newman Hall, but because of COVID, there will be no dine-in.
“This is always a fun event and we appreciate the Knights of Columbus who always do the cooking for us,” said event coordinator Shelley Gilliland. “Unfortunately, we are only doing drive-thru this year.”
Tickets can be purchased at several local banks including Citizens National Bank, First Financial, Lone Star Ag, InterBank, First National Dublin, TexasBank, F&M and from any ECUW board member.
Plates can also be purchased on the night of the event.
You can pre-order your dinner by calling 254-965-5693 or 254-965-4429.
ECUW’s Taste of Erath has been cancelled this year, so the organization needs your support now more than ever.
So order that plate or buy your tickets now. I promise you won’t be sorry.
