Get excited! This summer’s Concerts in the Park series returns with big lineup and special guest!
Summer officially gets rolling in Stephenville every year with the kickoff of the wildly-popular Concerts in the Park.
This year’s series will welcome special guest Don McLean who will perform at Stephenville City Park on July 13.
McLean, a singer and songwriter, is best known for his 1971 hit song American Pie.
You know the one that goes like this:
“Bye-bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee
But the levee was dry
Them good old boys were drinking whiskey and rye
Singing ‘This’ll be the day that I die.’”
“To have Don McLean come to Stephenville, Texas on his 50th anniversary tour of American Pie’s release is spectacular,” Doug Montgomery told Beneath the Surface News. “This is our 23rd year to have these concerts and we will be doing eight shows in June and July.”
The concerts will begin during the city’s Moo-La celebration from June 1-3.
Check out the summer lineup.
