Get festive with this Christmas Cookie Ale from Hop and Sting.

I like Christmas Cookie Ale, The Husband likes Miracle Wheat. Both are taking up space in our fridge right now.

I don’t drink much beer.

And when I say “much,” I mean any.

I don’t drink any beer. I’ve just never developed a taste for it.

Chardonnay is my drink of choice and I like a dirty martini when I’m wearing heels.

But a recent evening at Hop and Sting Brewing Co. in Grapevine where we were celebrating the recent nuptials of our friends’ daughter, a craft brew was on the menu that I couldn’t resist.

Christmas. Cookie. Beer.

Guys, I’m not joking. There is a Christmas cookie beer out there and I’m just now learning about it. (Did you know?!)

Christmas Cookie Ale is one of several limited editions Hop and Sting is now selling.

It’s an English ale with strong hints of cinnamon and vanilla. (They say maple is in there too, but I couldn’t sniff it out.)

Don’t be fooled by its name. This is not a super sweet drink that Buddy the Elf would drink to chase his spaghetti.

This has all the taste you beer-drinkers will love with just a hint of, well, Christmas cheer.

I’m obsessed.

When one of the employees told me that the holiday brew sells out quickly every year, you better believe I snatched up a few six-packs to bring home.

Because it’s cheerful. And delicious. And festive.

And because the world needs more beer that tastes like a Christmas cookie.
