Get out the snorkel gear: This recipe for Trilogy Chicken will transport you straight to Hawaii.
By SHAWN STONE
A few years ago we vacationed in Hawaii with my wife's side of the family.
We took a snorkeling trip with a company called Trilogy, and they provided lunch.
We were served this delicious recipe, dubbed Trilogy Chicken, and I thought it was incredible.
They told me I could find the recipe on their website and now it’s a regular at our home.
Here’s the link http://blog.sailtrilogy.com/blog/a-guide-to-trilogys-famous-recipes.
WHAT’S IN IT
2 pounds chicken
1 Tbs. garlic
1 1/2 Tbs. ginger root
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. sesame oil
1 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup pineapple juice
HOW TO MAKE IT
Mix all ingredients in medium bowl and whisk. Put the chicken into a Ziploc bag and add marinade.
Tip: I like to mix everything together the morning before I head to work so it can marinade all day in the refrigerator and it's ready to throw on the grill when I get home.
Enjoy!
As an avid home cook and a huge fan of Hawaiian cuisine, the Trilogy Chicken dish is one of my go-to recipes when I want to recreate that island ambiance right in my kitchen.
A few years back, I had the opportunity to real transport to Hawaii for a friend's wedding. The beauty of the beaches, the friendly locals, and the vibrant, flavorful food left a lasting impression on me. One night, we had dinner at a beachside shack, where I tasted Trilogy Chicken for the first time. The tender chicken, the sweet and tangy sauce, and the distinct combination of spices - it was like an explosion of flavors in my mouth!
