Gryffinroar-the-kitten is one of this week’s featured pets up for adoption. (And she is a lovebug.)

Meet Gryffinroar. Isn't she a cutie?

One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Gryffinroar, a four to five-month-old female domestic shorthair.

“This sweet girl loves attention and being held,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News. “She is a big lovebug and wants to cuddle.”

Griff loves to play with toys and won't eat her dry cat food if there are too many red kibbles in it.

She is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and litter box trained.

Shepherd is a two to three-year-old male Collie/Shepherd mix.

“Sometimes he gives you a big grin, so please don’t think he is snarling at you,” Serena said.

“This sweet guy is very energetic and loves playing in water. He knows how to sit and walks decent on a leash.”

Shep seems to be potty trained, but may need a refresher course after being in the shelter.

He is dog friendly, but does resource guard his food so a meet-and-greet with other dogs in the home is recommended.

Shepherd is way happier than he looks right now. He is a sweeheart.

Small children make him nervous.

Shep is neutered, microchipped, partially vaccinated, heartworm negative and on prevention.

There are currently 82 dogs and 56 cats in the shelter.
