Here’s what happened after using red light therapy for three months at Tahiti Tan.

By ALEXIS ROCHESTER

I just finished a full three months of red light therapy at Tahiti Tan in Stephenville and now I’m ready to share the results.

There are so many benefits to red light therapy; it stimulates collagen production, increases blood circulation and reduces inflammation.

It’s also beneficial for reducing stretch marks, wrinkles, improving eczema, scars, sun damage, acne and even hair growth.

I was introduced to red light therapy years ago for rheumatoid arthritis pain in my joints. I purchased a lamp for my home and I love using it.

Tahiti Tan offers a full body red light therapy machine, so you can get your entire body at once. It only takes 12 minutes, three days a week, and after three months, you can do it once or twice a week.

While results appear sooner, you always want to wait three months to see skin improvements, especially on things like stretch marks or wrinkles which require more repairing.

WRINKLE REDUCTION

I have one deep wrinkle on my forehead I got when I was 31, right after my first child was born. I am 36 now, and it is my only forehead wrinkle. I have never done Botox and was excited to see what red light therapy would do.

Each time I do a red light session, I use a target serum on my problem areas. They sell this at Tahiti Tan too. It can help enhance the benefits of red light. I am very pleased with how much softer this wrinkle is. With red light therapy boosting collagen, it can really help with age related wrinkles.

Before and after.

I took both pictures in my bathroom in the morning after washing my face. I zoomed in and was really impressed with how it looks close up! I haven’t done any other treatments during this time so I can fully test this method.

STRETCH MARKS

I got stretch marks on my hips when I was 17, so they have been there a long time, and they have faded quite a bit. I use the target serum on that area along with the red light therapy prep spray (you can also get this at Tahiti Tan). This hydrates the skin and allows red light to work more effectively.

INFLAMMATORY PAIN

My favorite benefit of red light therapy has been with inflammatory pain. I have been dealing with an arthritic flare since my baby was born in October. After three months now, red light therapy helped drastically with inflammation.

ECZEMA

Red light therapy is great for skin inflammation like eczema. It has helped the areas on my cheeks and arms where I get eczema often. I haven’t had any issues with this since starting red light therapy!

The great thing about red light therapy is you can do it for as long as you want. I continue to go a few times a week.
