Hey crawfish lovers, it’s time to celebrate! The Shack is now open.

Updated: Jan 24, 2021

I’m about to help with your weekend plans.

A new restaurant – The Shack – is set to host its grand opening and you should make plans to go.

The BYOB restaurant specializes in boiled crawfish and shrimp, potatoes and corn and will serve up other deliciousness like a catfish combo, corn dogs for the kids and canned soft drinks.

Stephenville residents Luke and Andi Sims and Luke’s brother Greg Green will run the family-owned business.

“We are ready to open our doors for the first time to the public. We cannot be more excited to see old friends and meet new ones,” a statement on The Shack’s Facebook page says. “We have limited seating so please be patient and understanding. We will do our best to see that everyone leaves with a smile.”

The owners say the parking lot is small, but customers can park along Columbia Street, in the library parking lot or in the city lot next to First Financial Bank.

The Shack has inside seating for up to 60 with additional space on the patio.

The restaurant’s grand opening will take place on Saturday, Jan. 30.

The Shack is located at the former Soup & More building on Washington Street.
