The start of the holiday shopping season officially gets underway this weekend and local businesses are offering their best deals of the year with mega-savings on Black Friday and Small Business Saturday.
I spoke with several local business owners this week who gave me the scoop on all the sales and they are pretty spectacular!

VENTURE 19
Great deals start online at Venture 19 at 6 p.m. Thanksgiving Day through Sunday with 25% off regular-priced merchandise (some exclusions apply).
Enjoy doorbusters on Friday that will include an additional 25% off sale items and up to 50% off on select drinkware, Greek products, cologne and Mahjong sets.
Online deals will continue through Cyber Monday.
THE HOME PLACE/DOWELL ACE HARDWARE
Black Friday only: Existing Dowell rewards members will receive triple points and 20% off regular-priced, in-stock items.
Storewide-power tools and appliances will be 10% off. Christmas décor and trees are also included in the markdowns.
Customers not already signed up for its rewards program will receive 10% storewide and 5% off power tools and appliances.
Save 25% off Yeti items (in stock), Shopfox and Grizzly tools.
Ace will also raffle off an 8-foot deluxe stocking filled with toys and games valued at $200. Tickets are $3 each.
On Saturday, The Home Place will host its Christmas open house with more discounts, food and door prizes.

TEXAS SAGE
The day before and the day after Thanksgiving, Texas Sage will offer an “early bird gets the worm” holiday sale with 30% off everything in-store from 8 a.m. – noon and 20% off everything in-store from 12:01 p.m. – to closing.
Plants will remain 50% off until the end of the year, excluding winter Christmas plants, which will qualify for the early bird special.
PEACHY KEEN
This Stephenville retailer will offer “sip and shop” along with big savings on select items this weekend.
On Friday, customers can enjoy 30% off Farmhouse Fresh products, 40% off Laura Park, 20% off Kendra Scott, 20% off Hollis and 20% off Peepers.
Peachy Keen is also offering custom gift baskets this holiday season.
LUCKY VINES VINEYARD AND WINERY; LUCKY BREWING
Lucky Vines is offering “holiday sanity discounts” with big savings on wine and beer.
The vineyard and tasting room will be open from 1-8 p.m. on Black Friday with live music from 3-6, vendors and permanent jewelry.
Get in the Christmas spirit by wearing your favorite Christmas sweater and stock on bottles of wine.
All Lucky Vines merchandise will be 15% off, shirts will be marked down 40%.
Buy six bottles of wine and save 10%; buy a case and save 20%; buy two cases and save 30%.
