An Erath County jury on Thursday found Alyssa Litwin guilty of manslaughter, aggravated assault and four counts of endangering a child in an accident that claimed the lives of two sisters, five-year-old Codie and nine-month-old Charli Sackett, in Morgan Mill on Dec. 3, 2018.

The children’s mother Carrie Sackett was seriously injured.

Jurors heard two full days of emotional testimony from troopers who worked the scene of the accident and Litwin herself.

She received 12 years for manslaughter, 10 years for aggravated assault and 18 months for each count of endangering a child. The sentences will run concurrently.
