Learn to create your own craft cocktails at CTFAC’s ‘The Art of Mixology.’ Tickets on sale now.

Don’t miss your chance to learn about making craft cocktails when the Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council hosts ‘The Art of Mixology’ from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 30.

The event will take place at CTFAC’s new location on the Erath County courthouse square.

Local celebrity bartender Deborah May will teach the class how to make three cocktails and give a little information about each one’s history.

“We are going to be talking about one of the oldest cocktails ever made which is the Old Fashioned and this cocktail is still going strong,” Deborah told Beneath the Surface News. “Don't worry if you’re not a whiskey fan because we are going to make some other amazing drinks!”

The class is $50 per person and includes all materials, mixers, alcohol and light snacks.

Oh, and you have to be 21 or older to attend.

“We are so excited to offer this class; it's going to be a lot of fun,” CTFAC executive director Christine Newton said. “Each person will have an individual station so they can follow along with Deborah as she creates the drinks.”

Deborah is a regular contributor to The Crumb, a food page found exclusively on beneaththesurfacenews.com.
