As the number of COVID cases continues to rise in Erath County, a snapshot of the patients is also beginning to emerge.
Stephenville City Manager Allen Barnes said there are 33 active cases in the county as of Thursday with 19 residing in the city limits.
And in the past 10 days, 71% of female cases are in the 20-29 age range and 67% of male cases are in the 20-29 age range.
“We highly encourage those in that age group to take extra precautions,” Barnes said in a news release.
City officials continue to urge residents to wear masks in public and wash hands regularly.
“The precautions become more important as people are beginning to be in public and our lives become more normal,” Barnes said.
