Local historical committee pays tribute to Women’s History Month with courthouse display.

A tribute to the first women of Erath County is on display at the Erath County Courthouse as part of Women’s History Month.

Robin Ritchie, chair of the Erath County Historical Commission, told Beneath the Surface News that County Judge Alfonso Campos came up with the idea to use the courthouse as a place to pay homage to the county’s history.

“The committee is proud to help promote stories from our rich county history,” Robin said. “We hope to have displays in the courthouse monthly or bi-monthly.”
