Man charged with capital murder in triple slaying of girlfriend and her grandparents.
The Comanche County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a triple murder that occurred in the 2900 block of Hwy. 2921 in the Oliver Springs Community of Northern Comanche County.
According to a press release, a man called the sheriff’s office on Saturday morning to report that he had shot three people identified as 63-year-old Earl Stephens, 62-year-old Patricia Stephens and their 18-year-old granddaughter Ashyln Smith.
The suspect, 22-year-old Brendan Jenkins, was arrested at the scene and has been charged with capital murder.
Jenkins is currently being held at the Comanche County Jail.
A family friend who contacted Beneath the Surface News, said Jenkins and Smith had been dating.
Services for Earl and Patricia Stephens will be held at Higginbotham Funeral Home in Gorman.
Services for Ashlyn Smith will be held at Crosier-Pearson Funeral Home in Cleburne.
