Same place, same people, new name.

That’s the story of HomeTown Physical Therapy, formerly known as Sports Rehab & Physical Therapy.

Longtime owners Mark Blackburn and Brandi Wood have partnered on the new venture; splitting from the larger SRPT corporation and redirecting focus to a more personalized, community-catered type of care.

“One of the things Brandi and I are most excited about is that we will be working directly with patients more and that’s something we are really looking forward to,” Mark told Beneath the Surface News.

“The patients that come in will get hands-on care and work with the same therapist every visit.”

The former SPRT clinics in Stephenville and Hico will remain at the same location, operating under the new name, HomeTown Physical Therapy.

“We are returning to our roots and providing individualized treatments and focusing on forming long-lasting relationships with our patients,” Brandi said.

Mark and Brandi are no strangers to the area.

Mark grew up in Stephenville and graduated from Stephenville High School where he played football for the Yellow Jackets.

He and his wife Julie raised their children in Stephenville.

Brandi graduated from Tarleton State University and is raising her children in the Selden area alongside her husband Wesley, a Stephenville native.

Hometown Physical Therapy will move forward with the same staff, including longtime and well-known therapists Derek Haney and Troy Kimbrough.

Kari Horton will continue to provide Erath County’s only certified hand therapy program.

Therapists Cody Caraway, Reagan Sandford, Jennifer McQuerry and Elba Nichols look forward to providing top-notch care with HomeTown PT.

All previously scheduled appointments and insurance or payment arrangements will continue as planned and both clinics are now taking new patients.

HomeTown Physical Therapy offers dry needling and aquatic therapy at both locations as well as extended hours and same-day appointments as needed.

HomeTown Physical Therapy is located at 2269 Senator Robert J. Glasgow in Stephenville and 712 N. 2nd Street in Hico.

The clinics are open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
