Meet Ivan; this friendly cat doesn’t know he’s a feline and will do anything to get your attention.
Ivan, a one-year-old domestic shorthair, is one of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society and will do just about anything for attention.
“He absolutely loves people and will reach through the bars of his kennel to grab your shirt to get your attention,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News. “He will also give kisses and ‘pet’ your face with his paw.”
Ivan doesn't know he is a cat and dislikes all other felines.
He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and litterbox trained.
Bear is a five-year-old male Kelpie mix.
“This handsome, sweet boy is dog friendly, but a meet-and-greet is always recommended,” Serena said. “Kelpies are a very energetic breed.”
Bear walks fairly well on a leash and knows how to sit. He is a jumper and will jump in the air when he is excited, but he can also jump fences if left unattended.
Bear is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative and has received some vaccines.
“He was adopted from us in 2019 and showed up earlier this year in a San Marcos shelter and not reclaimed, so he was returned to us,” Serena said.
