A pysanky egg workshop featuring the history of the eggs, their relevance today and the opportunity to make them is set for 2 p.m. Sunday, March 30, at Tarleton State University’s W.K. Gordon Museum and Research Center in Mingus.



Pysanky are Ukrainian Easter eggs that have been decorated with traditional designs. The tradition of pysanky dates back to pre-Christian times.


They were originally used to symbolize the rebirth of the earth. 

 


Cost for the event is $15 per person and reservations are required to participate.
