Registration underway for Pinecone Dash, a 5K, 10K and 1-mile fun benefiting Ranger College’s EMS students.

The Pinecone Dash Foundation and Ranger College’s EMS program are partnering to host the second annual Pinecone Dash on Saturday, April 6, at the Bosque River Trail in Stephenville.

Proceeds from the 5K, 10K and 1-mile fun run go towards scholarships for EMT students.

“We started this event in honor of my mother, Julie Woolbright, who we lost suddenly a few years ago,” organizer Emily McAdow told Beneath the Surface News.

“She was a runner, animal lover and had just finished paramedic school at age 58 before she passed.

“She was the most incredible woman to exist and always helped others when she could. This event is a way to continue her legacy and bring some of her favorite things into one."

Awards will go to the top 3 finishers in the following age groups for men and women: 11&U, 12-15, 16-20, 21-25, 26-30, 31-25, 36-40, 41-45, 46-50, 51-55, 56-60, 61-65, 66-70, 70+.

Prizes will also be given to the overall top two in the timed 5K and 10K.
