Stephenville native and longtime attorney Shay Isham has opened a new law firm in downtown Stephenville on the Erath County courthouse square.

“After 28 years of practicing law, it was time to strike out on my own,” Isham told Beneath the Surface News.

Isham attended Tarleton State University for two years before transferring to Texas A&M University where he graduated in 1990.

He began working for Glasgow Law Firm in 1992 while he was attending law school at Oklahoma City University.

Isham became board certified in criminal law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in 2004 and is qualified to handle any type of criminal case.

He has extensive trial experience in North Central Texas.

Some of his more notable cases include defending Eddie Ray Routh in the high-profile slaying of Chris Kyle as well as Alyssa Litwin who was convicted of manslaughter in a texting-while-driving accident that killed two young girls.

In addition to criminal defense, Isham also handles personal injury cases and simple estate planning and wills.

You can reach Isham by emailing sisham@ishamlawfirm.com or by calling 254-459-4104.
