SpringHill Suites by Marriott is coming to Stephenville; new hotel will be largest in the area.
A new place to stay is coming to Stephenville.
SpringHill Suites by Marriott will be located on Harbin Street behind Peachy Keen Boutique.
Jeff Sandford, president of the Stephenville Economic Development Authority, told Beneath the Surface News that TEKMAK is developing the project with plans to begin construction in the near future.
“SEDA has been showcasing the growing attractions and assets of Stephenville to the good folks at Marriott for several years,” he said.
“This approved hotel will not only serve as a world-class hospitality experience, but will help boost the local economy by creating jobs, attracting visitors and supporting local businesses, reinforcing Stephenville as a premier destination.”
Today’s travelers rely heavily on loyalty programs, and Marriott boasts a robust system in use by travelers across the country.
The $20 million all-suite hotel will be the largest in Stephenville, with four floors that will include meeting space, a swimming pool, full-service bar and hot breakfast.
The developers are currently in the planning stages and are working to determine the specific needs of the area.

“They bring a strong commitment to quality to every project, and we look forward to partnering with them.”
Stephenville Mayor Doug Svien said the new hotel will not only enhance lodging choices in Stephenville, but will bring additional events to the area and generate more dollars into the local economy.
