Stars over Stephenville: City gears up for annual Fourth of July celebration.

Nothing says family fun like the city of Stephenville’s annual Fourth of July celebration.

This year’s events will take place on Thursday, July 4, and kick off with the traditional parade at 9 a.m.

The parade will begin at the south entrance of Stephenville City Park, turn left on Graham, left on Washington and left on Harbin where it will come to an end.

Make plans to hang around City Park where food vendors will set up from noon to 10 p.m.

Lawn mower races will take place from 1-5 p.m. and there will be a bounce house, rock climbing and dunk tank from 3-8 p.m.

Spend the evening listening to great music at the Doug Montgomery Stage at Birdsong Amphitheater with Shawn Camp at 6 p.m., followed by Presley Haile, Nick Brumley, Race Ricketts and Larry Joe Taylor.

An extravagant display of fireworks will light up the night sky starting about 9:30 p.m.
