Stephenville FFA members make strong showing at the State Fair of Texas Agriscience Fair.

The Stephenville FFA Chapter made a strong showing at the State Fair of Texas Agriscience Fair, with all 10 members placing in the top four of their respective categories.

 

The competition showcased their expertise, dedication and research skills, earning them multiple top-tier accolades.

 


Leading the charge was Ally Foster, who won the Food Systems Division with her project focusing on identifying the most effective cooking methods to reduce vitamin C loss in broccoli and bell peppers.

 

In the Social Systems Division, Aidyn McKeehan captured the top spot with her research analyzing consumer perceptions of plant-based meat alternatives.

 

In the Animal Systems Division, Hudson Musick claimed Reserve Champion with his project focused on identifying the best cleaning methods for swine barns to reduce the spread of bacteria and disease.


Jackson Richmond followed suit in the Social Systems Division, securing Reserve Champion with his project on understanding the driving factors of consumer decision making for beef products.

 

Other notable placements include:

 

• Taylor Hice: 2nd Place, Animal Systems Division

 

• Tucker Hubbard: 2nd Place, Plant Systems Division

 


 • Ebb Montgomery: 3rd Place, Environmental Systems Division

 

• Kenley Pack: 2nd Place, Food Systems Division

 

• Jake Goodwin: 4th Place, Social Systems Division

 

• Garrett Mader: 4th Place, Power Systems Division



“The results at the State Fair of Texas Agriscience Fair are a testament to Stephenville FFA’s focus on academic excellence and hands-on learning in the agricultural sciences,” FFA advisor Savannah Bowers said.

 

“Each project reflected extensive research and real-world applications aimed at solving current issues in the agricultural industry. With these outstanding achievements, the Stephenville FFA Chapter looks forward to continuing its success at upcoming competitions, including the National FFA Convention.”
