Stephenville Mayor Pro Tem Brandon Huckabee sets sights on becoming the next Erath County judge.

Stephenville Mayor Pro Tem Brandon Huckabee has set his sights on a new challenge; he wants to become the next Erath County judge.
I met with Brandon earlier this week at his office where he told me about his decision to run for the county-wide elected position.
“I am running for many of the same reasons I ran for the position in the city,” he said. “It is so important to have collaborative, careful planning to manage the growth in our county without losing the rural values that we hold dear. Together we can address the current and future infrastructure problems our county is facing with efficiency and innovation.”
Brandon is known as a team player and effective leader on the Stephenville City Council, where he has served since 2018.
His term on the city council will end in May 2022 and he will not seek re-election.
Instead, he will put his effort into becoming the county’s next judge, a job currently held by Alfonso Campos.
Judge Campos told Beneath the Surface News earlier this week that he will seek a second term.
Brandon is a Stephenville native who graduated from SHS in 1999. He attended Tarleton State University then set off to Fort Worth to join the work force.
He and his wife Alyssa returned to Erath County in 2015 to raise their family and start Huckabee Inspection Group.
The couple has two daughters; Brinley, 7, and Ella, 3.
Brandon has already received a lot of support for his petition to file for office.
