Summertime favorites: With temperatures soaring to 100 degrees, stay cool with these yogurt pops.

It’s getting toasty out here, you guys.

North Texas is gearing up for its first really hot days of the season when temperatures are expected to teeter near the 100-degree mark next week.

So I asked local chef Lori Lesley, owner of Casseroles To-Go and Rollin’ the Dough, for an easy recipe to keep you and the kids cool.

“These yogurt pops are amazing,” she told Beneath the Surface News. “My grands love them!”

Here’s what you’ll need:

1/2 cup heavy cream

2 cups whole milk vanilla Greek yogurt

1/3 cup honey

3 cups fresh fruit, your favorite

DIRECTIONS

Whip the cream with a whisk until soft peaks start to form; fold in yogurt and honey.

Add your favorite fruit such as sliced bananas, strawberries, blueberries or blackberries and pour into popsicle mold.

Add popsicle sticks to the center of each and transfer to freezer for at least 6 hours.

Enjoy!
