The list of Stephenville ISD candidates keeps growing. Here’s the latest.

SISD board president Chad Elms has filed for re-election. Election Day is Saturday, May 4.

Things have been busy at Stephenville ISD’s administrative building with current trustees filing for re-election and candidates throwing their hats into the ring for two open seats.

The deadline to file for a place on the May 4 ballot is 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16.

Here’s how the election is shaping up:

Place 1: Currently held by Dr. Robert Barberee (he has filed for re-election).

Place 2: Currently held by Sherrie Evans (will not run for re-election).

Candidates vying for Place 2: Ricky Gann, Dr. Rita Cook and Megan Estill (it’s a packed race).

Place 3: Currently held by board president Chad Elms (he has filed for re-election).

Place 4: Open seat vacated by Luke Sims.

Douglas Young has filed to run for that place.
