I’m about to help with your weekend plans.

The Shack, located at 309 W. Washington Street in downtown Stephenville, is a family-owned restaurant specializing in fresh seafood and good times.

Owners Ruurd and Amy Stoker, son Colbe and his wife Sandra purchased the restaurant in 2023 and operate it seasonally from January to June.

“Crawfish is our biggest seller, of course, but we also have snow crab, shrimp, fried catfish and chicken strips,” Colbe told Beneath the Surface News.

And when it comes to sides; think French fries, boudin balls, potatoes, corn, sausage and alligator bites.

Colbe is The Shack’s general manager and orders the crawfish weekly from Louisiana.

“I drive to Houston every Thursday to pick it up so it’s fresh for the weekend,” he said.

The Shack offers casual dining where guests enjoy dinner on long indoor picnic tables.

Orders are placed at the counter and the food is brought right to your table.

Beer and seltzers are also available for purchase.

The Shack is open from 5-9 p.m. every Friday and Saturday.

You should check it out!

Snow crab, anyone?
Oh my gosh, seriously?! This looks amazing.
Catfish fried to perfection.
And to wash it all down...beer by the bucket.
