Nothing jazzes up a batch of Christmas cookies like a handful of M&Ms.
The chocolate-y goodness melts in your mouth, not in your hands. (I know. I couldn’t resist.)
These festive cookies are easy to make, colorful and delicious. And the kids love them!
Make a big batch for the family and if you have the willpower, save a couple for Santa. He’s got a big night ahead of him and he is going to need the sugar rush.
WHAT’S IN IT
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup light brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup Christmas M&Ms
HOW TO MAKE IT
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
In large bowl, cream together butter and both sugars with electric beaters. Mix 1-2 minutes until fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla and mix until just combined.
Add flour, baking soda and salt and mix well. Fold in chocolate chips and M&Ms.
Scoop cookie dough onto baking sheet and place about two inches apart.
Bake 7-10 minutes until edges are golden brown.
