This DIY disinfectant spray makes the perfect gift for teachers, neighbors and friends.

Do you need a simple gift idea for the Christmas season?

I make this disinfectant every year for teachers, friends and neighbors.

Everyone loves it because it’s so practical. I like to add this to a gift box filled with fun things like hand sanitizer and gift cards.

You can check out gift ideas like that here along with some easy labels to print for this DIY.

SUPPLIES

All you need is some small amber spray bottles (I like the 2 oz), 70% rubbing alcohol, a large glass jar and lemon peels.

HOW TO MAKE IT

First, make the lemon-infused rubbing alcohol by filling a glass jar with lemon peels, then top with rubbing alcohol.

Allow this to sit for two weeks (you can do this for 1.5 weeks if you are short on time), then strain out the lemon peels.

Use this lemon infused rubbing alcohol solution to fill your small 2 oz spray bottles to give as gifts.

Make sure you read this blog post on how to use lemon infused rubbing alcohol for disinfecting.

I like to include instructions on how to use it when I give.
