The new year often brings with it a renewed sense of purpose and desire for positive change.
For many, this includes decluttering and deep cleaning their homes.
A sparkling clean environment can significantly impact our mood and overall well-being, creating a more peaceful and inviting space to live in.
This year, let’s prioritize a cleaner home, starting with a thorough refrigerator scrub. Not only will this improve the look and smell of your kitchen, it will ensure food safety and prevent spoilage.
First, clean your refrigerator from top to bottom with our simple DIY fridge cleaning spray.
After your fridge is nice and clean, place this homemade deodorizer inside. It works so well!
Here is the recipe with a surprising ingredient twist:
● 1/2 cup baking soda
● 1 bag of chamomile tea, unused
● A few drops of lemon essential oil for added freshness
● Bowl or container
Directions:
1. Add baking soda to container, then cut open chamomile tea bag.
2. Sprinkle the entire tea bag on top of the baking soda.
3. Add in a few drops of lemon essential oil (as much as you like for scent).
4. Stir well.
5. Place inside your refrigerator on any shelf where it won’t get knocked over!
Replace about every two weeks.
The addition of chamomile tea does make it last longer when it comes to a fresh, clean scent.
Chamomile tea is the surprising ingredient you didn’t know you needed.
Most of us use just baking soda which works fantastic for odor absorption, but adding the chamomile tea is a game changer.
