The KSTV FM radio family is mourning the loss of one of its own.
Twenty-six-year-old Trey Cordie, a local radio personality and program director, was killed Saturday night in an automobile accident on I-30.
He was reportedly headed back home to Stephenville after attending a birthday party for a family member in Fort Worth.
KSTV general manager Boots Elliott said Trey was well-liked by his co-workers and everyone who knew him.
“It’s a horrible loss,” Boots told Beneath the Surface News. “Trey had been with us for just over two years and had really settled into his position.
“We had basically turned over the entire on-air operation to him as he had worked hard to prove himself as being knowledgeable and capable.
“This is a tough time for our radio station family.”
Trey was the host of his afternoon show “On your way with Trey” and “Texas Style Saturday Night.”
He is the son of DFW radio personality Erin Wilde.
