A Stephenville fifth grader has made a splash in the world of JiuJitsu.
Eleven-year-old Benji Cashon is a student at Makhuwa Brazilian JiuJitsu.
Owner and instructor Blessed Matai said Benji is one of his star students, earning 10 gold, two silver and six bronze medals last year while competing in the IBJJF Pan American Championship in Orlando and JiuJitsu Con in Las Vegas.
“Benji finished the year ranked 11th in lightweight junior 2 and 54th in middleweight in the most prestigious JiuJitsu federation,” Blessed told Beneath the Surface News.
“And last week we received word that he was named the 2024 season champion by the JiuJitsu World League.
"We are all very proud of him."
Benji is the son of Jason and Kristin Cashon.
This is so impressive! Benji is representing Stephenville and Makhuwa JiuJitsu with pride. Over the years, Snake game has inspired various popular variations and adaptations that introduce new elements and twists to the original gameplay.
