This local organization is turning 100 years old and you’re invited to the big celebration.

The Lions Club provided eye screening in February for more than 200 people during a community-wide event called Sight For All.

The Stephenville Lions Club is turning 100 years old on Oct. 13 and the organization is celebrating with an anniversary dinner at 6 p.m. at City Hall at City Limits.

“We would like to invite past members and those who have a family member in the Lions Club to attend our 100-year celebration,” Lions Club treasurer Cindy Watson told Beneath the Surface News. “Our Lions International director T.J. Tijerina will speak at the event and there will be numerous scrapbooks and memorabilia on display.”

Tickets are $30 each.

If you plan to attend, you must RSVP by Oct. 6 to StephenvilleLions@gmail.com or send a check to P.O. Box 410, Stephenville, TX 76401.
