One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Shelby, a four to five-year-old female domestic longhair.
“This sweet girl takes a little time to warm up, but once she does, she is a cuddler,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News.
“She will hide at first, but soon settles in and comes to you for head pats and cuddles.”
Shelby loves playing with toys, and if none are readily available, she will find something to entertain herself.
She also likes to “talk.”
“She is fine with dogs as long as they respect her space,” Serena said.
Shelby is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and litter box trained.
Bitsy is a four to five-year-old female Shepherd mix.
“This sweet lady was surrendered because her person went into a care facility,” Serena said. “The owner said she is good with other dogs, cats and strangers.”
Bitsy has not been around kids or livestock.
She is house-trained, but has never been in a crate. She does well on a leash and in a car.
Bitsy is spayed, partially vaccinated and microchipped.
She will need a rabies vaccination and a heartworm test is pending.
