One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Cod-e, an eight to nine-year-old male Australian Shepherd mix.
“This handsome boy has a typical Aussie wiggly butt and loves everyone,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News.
“He is full of energy and would do well in a home that will give him lots of play time throughout the day.”
He arrived at the shelter after his owner passed away.
Serena believes Cod-e is potty trained and while he came from a home with other dogs, he has not been a fan of other male dogs at the shelter, so a meet-and-greet with other household pets is recommended.
Cod-e would do best in a home without young children because he doesn't like to be poked or pinched.
He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention.
Girly Girl is a one to two-year-old female domestic shorthair.

“This sweet girl is a bit shy at first, but loves attention and wants all the pets,” Serena said.
“She isn't interested in toys, but is very food motivated.”
Girly Girl likes to talk when it's time to eat or when she wants attention and loves looking out a window.
Girly Girl is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and litter box trained.
