This second grade teacher has been named October’s Hometown Hero.
Erath County’s Hometown Hero award presented by Farmers Insurance agent Leslie Walker couldn’t have gone to a more deserving educator.
Delaina Taylor, a second grade reading and dyslexia interventionist at Chamberlin Elementary, has been named October’s Hometown Hero.
She was presented with a gift basket and certificate of appreciation.
Delaina and her husband Sammy have three kids, eight grandkids (a 9th arriving in November) and three dogs.
Delaina graduated from Tarleton State University with a degree in curriculum and instruction and has been a teacher for 20 years.
When she’s not working with young people, Delaina loves spending time with her big, extended family, playing dominoes and listening to music and audio books.
Congratulations Delaina!
