This sweet cat was one of 8 animals rescued from a neglectful home.
One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Ruby, a two to three-year-old female domestic shorthair.
“She came in from a neglect case with five other cats, a dog and rooster,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News.
“She is a very sweet girl that loves attention, but she is uncomfortable being held.”
Ruby isn’t fond of traveling and will cry when she’s in a crate.
She is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and litter box trained.
Kimber is a seven to eight-month-old female Lab mix.
“This pretty little girl was very shy when she came in with her sister Kentucky,” Serena said.
“They have both warmed up nicely. She loves to cuddle and does pretty well on a leash. She loves treats, pets and toys.”
Kimber would do best as an only dog because she has resource guarding issues with food and toys.
She is spayed, fully vaccinated and microchipped.
