One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Kyle, a one to two-year-old Shepherd Aussie mix.

Kyle was surrendered from a neglectful situation.

“He is a friendly guy, but will bark when he meets new people,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News.

“He gets along well with kids, people and other dogs, but a meet-and greet is always recommended for families with other pets.”

Kyle will chase chickens.

He is potty and crate-trained and walks well on a leash, but has a bad habit of jumping on people.

Kyle loves to play fetch and go on runs.

He is neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped.

Charlie is a five to six-year-old female domestic longhair.

She was one of five animals seized from a home in Erath County.

“She was very scared upon intake and is still trying to adjust to the shelter environment,” Serena said.

“Once she warms up, she enjoys receiving pets and head scratches.”

Charlie is partially vaccinated and microchipped. She is pending a rabies vaccine and spay.
