Thompson’s Custom Meats & Processing opens second location; this one in Stephenville.
Updated: Dec 27, 2023
Thompson’s Custom Meats and Processing is opening its second location on Thursday and this one’s in Stephenville.
Randy and Renee Thompson’s family-owned business will be located across the parking lot from The Purple Goat (in the former San Miguel room inside City Hall at City Limits).
“We are really excited to be opening just in time for Christmas,” Renee told Beneath the Surface News. “We make our own summer sausage, salami, snack sticks, beef jerky as well as kielbasa and German sausage.
“The beef with our logo on it comes from our ranch right here in Erath County.”
The Thompsons will open the new location at 10 a.m. Thursday (as in tomorrow) and will be open from 10 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, giving residents plenty of time to shop for Christmas dinner.
Think steaks, hamburger, pork chops, ribs, chili and stew meat.
They even have Tater Kegs, which are like over-sized tater tots filled with bacon, cheddar and chives or bacon, cheddar and jalapeno.
Seriously?! How did I not know about these?!
Thompson’s also carries Hambone seasoning, Veldhuizen cheese and Volleman’s milk.
Stop by and check it out!
