Restoration Advocates is hosting its annual talent show - Stars of Tomorrow, Building a Brighter Future for Restoration Place – at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, at City Hall at City Limits in Stephenville.
“This inspiring event will feature performances by talented young individuals while offering a meaningful way to contribute to our mission, providing shelter and essential resources for survivors of domestic abuse,” executive director Jeannette Maxwell told Beneath the Surface News.
“As our sole major fundraiser, our annual show plays a vital role in sustaining our funding efforts.”
New to this year’s event is “sip and shop” from 6-7 p.m., a time when attendees can enjoy hors d'oeuvres and snacks while browsing and bidding on silent auction items.

ABOUT RESTORATION ADVOCATES
In a powerful demonstration of community impact, Restoration Advocates has provided emergency shelter and comprehensive support services to 55 women and 58 children facing domestic violence in Stephenville this year.
With Zeffy's fee-free fundraising platform, the organization is channeling every dollar directly into life-changing programs that help survivors rebuild their lives.
"Our mission goes far beyond providing a safe place to stay," Maxwell said.
“We're empowering survivors with the tools they need for lasting independence – from essential necessities and life skills training to job search assistance and parenting support.
"Every resource we save through fee-free fundraising means more help for families in crisis."
The organization's holistic approach is already changing lives.
One recent success story involves a resident who is now pursuing her dream of becoming an EMT, thanks to educational support made possible through community donations.
"When someone takes that brave step to leave an abusive situation, the last thing they need is another barrier," Maxwell continues.
"Thanks to our supporters and Zeffy's platform, we can offer comprehensive services without worrying about losing funds to processing fees. Every dollar goes directly to providing safety and hope."
The impact of this support extends beyond immediate safety. Restoration Advocates provides:
• Emergency shelter and necessities
• Life skills training and education support
• Job search and career development assistance
• Parenting mentorship programs
• Transportation and childcare services
• Long-term independence planning
For those seeking support or wanting to contribute to this vital mission, Restoration Advocates maintains complete confidentiality and offers 24/7 assistance.
