Trojan Steel’s new corporate headquarters, manufacturing facility coming to Stephenville.
More industry – and jobs – are coming to Stephenville.
Trojan Steel, a leading steel manufacturing company, is building its new corporate headquarters and state-of-the-art manufacturing facility on a 10-acre plot of land off Hwy. 281 and County Road 177 (behind Atwoods).
“We are excited to call Stephenville our new home,” said co-founder Jason Ormsby.
“My partner and I have both relocated to the area, and we are thrilled about the potential for growth and opportunity here.
"This facility will serve as the cornerstone of our expansion, which includes plans for at least four additional manufacturing sites across the United States.”
A press release about the project stated that the Stephenville facility will feature a 100,000-square-foot production building designed to convert steel coil brought in by rail into over 150,000 tons of steel joists and decking annually.
The products will be used in steel-framed construction projects throughout the central United States, creating more than 50 full-time jobs with positions in labor, production machinery operation, crane and forklift operation, welding and facility and project management.
The company’s new 10,000-square-foot corporate office will house more than 50 employees in roles such as steel detailing, engineering, accounting and executive leadership.
Jeff Sandford, president of the Stephenville Economic Development Authority, told Beneath the Surface News that construction is expected to begin in the coming weeks.
“We are pleased to welcome Trojan Steel to Stephenville, and especially proud to be the headquarters for their growing operations," Sandford said.
“Their commitment to establishing internship programs that will provide students with valuable hands-on experience and potential full-time career opportunities upon graduation will assist in keeping the best and the brightest in our area.”
