‘We are concerned the situation will escalate.’ Notes left on vehicles at Stephenville High School target family.

Updated: 6 hours ago

An Erath County woman is reportedly behind a string of nasty notes left on students’ cars parked at Stephenville High School.

A woman, who will not be named in this report to protect the family’s identity, says it’s her 17-year-old daughter and father that are being attacked.

“We are concerned that this woman is unstable and that the situation will escalate,” the woman told Beneath the Surface News.

The first note, left on more than a dozen vehicles on Dec. 20 – the last day of school before Christmas break – read: “(The student’s name) is ILLEGITIMATE and so are her siblings with different father’s.

“(The child’s grandfather) who she lives with was caught having PORN pictures & watching XXX & PORN.

“He & her mom told her multiple times she could NOT date blacks like the cousins!!!”

The weird ramblings were repeated in a second typed note left on more vehicles parked at the high school during last Tuesday’s girls’ basketball game.

The woman said she knows exactly who is behind the attacks – a person who was romantically involved with her father and who she recently had to evict.

“I was allowed to see footage from the high school’s surveillance system and it’s no doubt her,” she said. “She is identifiable and so is her vehicle.”

On Saturday, Stephenville city councilman David Baskett received a copy of the note left inside his mailbox.

He said the letter wasn’t postmarked and was hand-delivered.

“I have no idea why I got it,” Baskett said.

SISD superintendent Dr. Eric Cederstrom said on Sunday that he is aware of the situation and has notified the Stephenville Police Department.

“The safety of our students and staff is our top priority,” Cederstrom said. “We will be meeting about this situation before students return to campus this week.”
